Close to being a life-long Palo Altan, Mark moved here from New York City when he was 5 years old, the same year that the Giants did, in1958. After attending Palo Alto schools, including Paly, he graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Psychology. After a stint in Law School at Loyola Marymount, Mark excelled as a sales executive in high-tech with IBM, Hitachi, and Cisco before moving to the start-up world. As VP of global sales at Lightlogic, he helped sell the company to Intel where he worked for another 8 years before retiring.
Mark enjoys a life-long love of sports, especially basketball. He helped manage the team at Stanford, and helped start the first Palo Alto-centric AAU team called Peak Basketball.
Mark has been a Palo Alto resident for over 60 years.
“Palo Alto is a very special place which has seen a lot of history, it’s the heart of the Silicon Valley, the fact that it does not have a history museum already is a huge omission that must be fixed!”
